On Maybe not Britpop’s bestknown band, but Echobelly had high-profile fans – including no less than Morrissey and Madonna. Lead singer Sonya Madan’s unique voice and lyrics, combined with a Blondie-meets-The-Smiths sound, stood them apart on tracks like King of the Kerb and Great Things. This 1995 album was their second, reaching No4 in the charts.
