NI Life & Style

-

Ialways said if I ever became a mum I wouldn’t let it take over my life. I didn’t want it to define me. Yes it has become a very important part of who I am but it isn’t all I am. When a baby arrives it is inevitable that he/she will dominate most of your time...not to mention most of your home. However he/she doesn’t have to completely take over who you were before he/she came along.

So I have tried to keep a part of my life PB (pre baby) alive where I can. And it mostly involves my clothes.

As soon as bump disappeared my old wardrobe reappeared and I started dressing like me again – not pregnant me or mummy me – just me.

Obviously there are certain things which you have to incorporate into your outfit when you’re a mummy. One of them is a changing bag. I wanted a changing bag that looked nothing like a changing bag.

One that I could wear with any outfit, that would look stylish and was a decent substitute for my brown leather Mulberry Messenger bag which comes everywhere with me.

I honestly didn’t think such a bag existed...but it does. So let me introduce you to Pacapods. They are a range of stunning changing bags which look absolutely nothing like a changing bag. Just what I wanted.

They are made of high-quality leather and look just like a high-quality designer bag. They have been designed by a British mum who saw a gap in the market for such a product.

She also knows what us mummies need as well as what we want as inside she created little pods which fit inside the bag to store everything you and your baby could possibly need on any kind of trip outside the house.

I am a self-confessed scatterbrain. Before I got my hands on a Pacapod there was no organised chaos with me, just plain old chaos, so these bags are a dream come true.

There is a place for everything. In one little pod you can fit nappies, wipes, dummies, toys and more. There is also a changing mat which folds up at the back... genius for when you are caught off guard anywhere/anytime.

The other pod is insulated so it can act as a cool bag for keeping food cold and a bottle warmer for keeping bottles, you guessed it, warm.

There is also a place to attach your keys and plenty of room to fit all of your essentials (I can fit my phone/wallet/make-up/laptop and more).

At a time in your life when you will be the busiest you’ll ever be, Pacapod bags make it all so much easier.

They epitomise everything us mummies strive to be – practical, organised, clever and oh-so-stylish on the outside and a whole load of organised chaos on the inside.
