WORRIED IRISH actor Adrian Dunbar has admitted he’s always worried his character will be killed off in hit BBC drama Line Of Duty.

The 60-year-old is back on our screens tonight as slippery Supt Ted Hastings for the fifth series of the cop show.

And Adrian, from Co Fermanagh, who has been playing the role for eight years, told how he is always relieved to see his name back on the script for the new season.

He said: “This is my first time doing a returning series where you’re worried if the writer is going to kill you off at some point.”

The show – which centres on the anticorruption unit of a police force – is back with a focus on organised crime.

PARTIES

The actor also revealed how the cast live in neighbouring flats in Belfast while they’re shooting the series.

He told ITV’s Jonathan Ross: “[There are] three flats – Vicky’s flat is very tidy, we go in there to do our lines and so forth.

“In my flat, I do a bit of cooking for everybody, maybe make breakfast on a Saturday morning, and all the parties happen in Martin [Compston’s] flat because he is Viva Las Vegas.”

He added the focus is back on big crime gangs in the new series.

Adrian said: “The organised crime group is the main thing and within that we suspect there might be a bent copper.”

And he revealed he gets lots of positive feedback from officers.

He added: “The police really do like the show.

“I was at Highgate West Hill the other day and the police came down with blue lights and screeched to a halt and went, ‘Oi, Line Of Duty’.”
