Boss Zidane wants Pogba to give Solskjaer his first headache as United boss

ZINEDINE ZIDANE has told Paul Pogba he wants him at Real Madrid.

Zidane, who has just returned as coach at the Bernabeu, admitted that he is a huge fan of his fellow Frenchman.

And he has questioned why the France World Cup winner would not want to quit Old Trafford to join him in Madrid.

Zidane said: “I like the player a lot, that

is not news. I know him personally. He is a truly different player. Few players can do what he can.

“If, one day, there is a possibility that he will want to leave, after his experience at United, why would he not want to come to Madrid?”

United, who have lavished £650m on signings over the past six years, will appoint a transfer committee to oversee deals in a complete overhaul of their policy.

That includes the internal appointment of the club’s first Technical Director with Assistant manager Mike Phelan, Academy boss Nicky Butt and Head of Youth Development John Murtagh all in the frame for the post.

But rather than giving the chosen one a mandate to buy and sell players, he will work in tandem with boss

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Executive Vice-Chairman Ed Woodward (left) and Head of Corporate Development Matt Judge.

Solskjaer said: “I have discussed with Ed how we move forward. It’s not one man’s decision. It’s about communication. That’s the key to any success.”
