‘Slave’ fears as 29 found inside a van
A HUMAN trafficking probe was launched after a van was stopped with 29 people crammed inside.
Men, women and children, believed to be from Vietnam, were found when it was stopped on the M5.
Police arrested four men aged 55 to 72 after being called to Newlyn, Cornwall, on Friday after people were seen getting into the van from a boat.
The van was stopped near Cullompton, Devon.
The suspects were arrested on suspicion of modern slavery offences and were being held and questioned yesterday.
The Red Cross said it was supporting the alleged victims at a rest centre.
