Hazard loves turning it on at Anfield and he could destroy Klopp’s title dream in a flash

HOW do I put it about Eden Hazard? Maybe like this... when Eden Hazard wants to turn up, he turns up. started up again. Suddenly he A flawed one. Anything similar is on fire. Maybe he needs that today and Liverpool’s title inspiration. hopes could be gone in a blue

It’s a nightmare for Chelsea, flash of Hazard’s blurred boots. because they have seen what What does Jurgen Klopp do happens when he’s unhappy. about that? Well, don’t panic.

So it would be fairly pointless If there’s one keeping him to the final 12 player who months of his contract if can handle

Hazard doesn’t want to turn up Hazard, for next year. But you can bet it’s Virgil he’ll turn up at Anfield today van though. He loves the place. Dijk.

I remember three years ago The he had one of those ‘can’t be arsed’ sort of seasons, but then was incredible at Anfield.

Just ran the whole game.

I watched that one thinking, he’s a genius. thing about an ‘up-for-it Hazard’ is he’s a centre-half ’s nightmare. He drops deep where they can’t go, then turns and runs at incredible speed through them.

I swear he’s quicker with the ball than without it.

That makes him almost unstoppable at times. Yet Van Dijk has an almost superhuman ability not to be beaten.

It’s incredible, but he hasn’t been dribbled past in more than a year. True story.

Think about that. A big,

powerful commanding centre-back who is nimble enough not to be taken on and beaten.

Literally not once since March 2018. In the Premier League or Champions League.

It tells you he has everything. In fact, if you’re teaching kids how to defend, you’d start by showing them clips of him.

He’s imposing – he showed that by psyching Moussa Sissoko out of that chance he had for Spurs a couple of weeks ago. But more importantly, he never seems to be flustered.

That’s because he has an ability to almost make time stand still when he’s making decisions. I’d liken it to the greatest goalscorers who have that coolness to work out exactly the right option in a fraction of a second. Time pauses for them.

He had to make so many calculations to keep Sissoko from passing to a guy who would score, forcing him to shoot wildly on his left foot – and got all the answers correct. So it will be an incredible battle... which could just decide the title. If there’s one thing that calms me as a Liverpool fan in this situation, it’s that Klopp always seems to have a plan for opponents. The work he does is ground-breaking.

There will be a plan for Hazard, and here’s hoping as a Reds supporter it works on the little, flawed genius.
