Runners in tribute to tragic 96
AROUND 1,000 people descended on Liverpool’s Stanley Park yesterday for this year’s Run For The 96.
The event is held annually to remember and celebrate the lives of the 96 Liverpool fans who were unlawfully killed in the Hillsborough tragedy on April 15, 1989.
It’s now in its fifth year, and the familiar faces there included LFC Club Ambassadors Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler, as well as Liverpool legend Alan Kennedy, former Everton player Ian Snodin and Big Brother’s first winner, Craig Phillips.
