Run­ners in trib­ute to tragic 96

AROUND 1,000 peo­ple de­scended on Liver­pool’s Stan­ley Park yes­ter­day for this year’s Run For The 96.

The event is held an­nu­ally to re­mem­ber and cel­e­brate the lives of the 96 Liver­pool fans who were un­law­fully killed in the Hills­bor­ough tragedy on April 15, 1989.

It’s now in its fifth year, and the fa­mil­iar faces there in­cluded LFC Club Am­bas­sadors Ian Rush and Rob­bie Fowler, as well as Liver­pool leg­end Alan Kennedy, former Ever­ton player Ian Sn­odin and Big Brother’s first win­ner, Craig Phillips.
