Millions.. but died skint
“Freddie had bad feelings about back home, so I think he would want to stay here rather than be repatriated. He felt the British people deserted him.”
The divorced mum-of-one spoke out as documents emerged showing lawyers acting for Karin Ward secured an interim £380,000 charging order on his £170,000 home, plus almost £115,000 in interest.
The order stemmed from a UK slander case Freddie lost in 2015, leaving him with a bill for £1.1million. He had sought damages over claims he groped Ms Ward backstage on a Jimmy Savile TV show in 1974, when she was 15.
Karin told the Sunday Mirror: “It’s awful he is dead. I believe my legal team was still pursuing him for the money but it was him who took action against me.
“I’ve had people calling me calling me a money grabber and gold digger but I didn’t want any of this.”
