Marvel Comics pyjamas, £14 Tu@Sainsbury’s This is the gown Villanelle wears in Episode 5 to try to kill Eve.

It’s an incredibly rare 2012 Alexander

McQueen couture dress Mitchell found in an online auction.

In the show, Villanelle pairs it with a pair of stylish hiking boots by Chanel for the killer look.

Mitchell then commissioned a custom-made veil to complete the ensemble. In last night’s episode we saw Villanelle leaving a hospital in Paris wearing a pair of colourful boys’ pyjamas that she steals from Gabriel (Pierre Atri), her fellow patient.

Originally, Villanelle was going to be wearing Spider-Man pyjamas – but show bosses were worried about infringing copyright, so they created a look from scratch.

You can find similar superhero pyjamas at Sainsbury’s – but if you wear them to go out, your friends may choke a little… Briefcase £99, M&S Jacket, £10 boohoo Ted Baker, Anneah lace detail dress

£99, John Lewis This cotton velvet Chloe blazer with horses embroidered on it, and purple Isabel Marant blouse, were sourced by Mitchell in Paris, along with the other 35-plus Season 2 outfits.

She tells us: “They weren’t designed to go together – but Villanelle has a preference to wear things in very much her own way.” Purple blouse £35 M&S Villanelle is a costume designer’s dream.

She loves luxury and labels – but also has a sense of her own style.

She puts pieces together in her own way, because she loves having fun and being playful. Not your typical comic book assassin, she likes to be that bit more outlandish.

She knows she’s good at her job and literally gets away with murder.

That arrogance is fantastic – and it’s what I stick with when I’m designing Villanelle.

She wants to show off and that’s why the colours are bright.

Jodie’s got the most amazing figure, so everything suits her beautifully – Villanelle really owns her clothes.

The character totally knows who she is and she’s not scared of making a statement.

Rather than a typical villain who looks dark, sinister and hidden, she is so arrogant that she really doesn’t care if people notice her.

She adapts to each environment and her clothes always make a statement.

And she often finds vintage items, or pieces that are just exquisite.

There’s usually a tongue-in-cheek element to what she chooses, but she’s always hugely stylish and has such flare.
