Kim sug­gests avoid­ing all sources of pro­cessed su­gar, in­clud­ing honey and syrup.

Avoid sim­ple car­bo­hy­drates, such as white bread, pasta, noo­dles and rice.

Give pro­cessed foods a miss, even ones mar­keted as “healthy”, such as low-fat yo­ghurt, break­fast bis­cuits and break­fast drinks.

Limit al­co­hol to seven units per week. Stick to drinks such as gin and soda with fresh lime or a dry wine. Avoid fruit juice.

Avoid adding any condi­ments and sauces such as tomato, bar­be­cue and sweet chilli.
