What to avoid
Kim suggests avoiding all sources of processed sugar, including honey and syrup.
Avoid simple carbohydrates, such as white bread, pasta, noodles and rice.
Give processed foods a miss, even ones marketed as “healthy”, such as low-fat yoghurt, breakfast biscuits and breakfast drinks.
Limit alcohol to seven units per week. Stick to drinks such as gin and soda with fresh lime or a dry wine. Avoid fruit juice.
Avoid adding any condiments and sauces such as tomato, barbecue and sweet chilli.
