Trump ‘raped me at a department store’

Sunday Mirror (Northern Ireland) - - News - BY KAREN ROCKETT

A WRITER says Donald Trump raped her in a shop changing room.

E Jean Carroll, now 75, claimed the US President attacked her in the mid-Nineties after the two joked about trying on lingerie.

Ms Carroll wrote in New York magazine that she met him at Bergdorf Goodman department store in Fifth Avenue. She said she recognised him as the “real estate tycoon” and they went to a changing room where he assaulted her.

Ms Carroll did not report the incident at the time after being warned by a friend: “Forget it. He’ll bury you.”

She added that Mr Trump was her “last hideous man” and she had not had sex since. Ms Carroll said she had suffered six attacks in all by “awful men”.

Mr Trump – who has been hit with sexual misconduct allegations from more than a dozen women – said he had “never met this person”.

He called Ms Carroll’s claim “fiction” and said she made it up to sell her book.
