Stars step up to break long dance record
SINGERS Aston Merrygold and Kimberly Wyatt yesterday helped to set a world record for the longest charity dance marathon.
Ex-JLS star Aston, 31, and former Pussycat Doll Kimberly, 37, led 5,000 jivers who broke the Guinness record of 25 hours and two minutes.
The dancing at Wembley stadium, north London, began at 8am on Friday.
The effort raised money for Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.
Aston said: “It’s been amazing to see people travel from all over the country and unite on the dance floor in support of such important causes.”
The bopping was part of a weekend of dance events at thousands of Tesco stores to aid the charities.
