Slap on the sun scream

Sunday Mirror (Northern Ireland) - - NEWS -

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people who get themselves and their children sunburned.

We’ve had some of the hottest days in history this week, yet I still found myself intervening and giving a mum my sun cream so she could put it on her child whose arms were lobster red.

I mean, you wouldn’t let your kid play in a snow storm without a coat.

When will we learn we have to protect our skin from the harmful rays of the sun?

Around 7,230 people will die of skin cancer this year. But despite this scary fact, I still see kids running around with bare skin, and grown adults showing off blistering red T-shirt lines.

So do yourself and your children a favour – if the sun has got his hat on, get yours on too.
