Don’t steal her thunder with love blunder

Sunday Mirror (Northern Ireland) - - NEWS -

After months of speculation, it’s been revealed Motsi Mabuse will be the new Strictly Come Dancing judge, replacing Darcey Bussell. Motsi is no stranger to giving her verdict as she has been delivering scores on the German version of the show, Let’s Dance, since 2011. Motsi is the sister of pro-dancer Oti and, predictably, many are saying it’s going to be unfair because of the connection. But I reckon it will be the opposite – because you can always count on your family to be brutally honest.

FAIL I always cringe when people make grand gestures of love. Like Edgaras Averbuchas, who hijacked his girlfriend’s graduation ceremony at Essex University.

When Agne proudly walked up to get her English degree after years of hard work, he strutted up, dropped down on one knee, and proposed. Poor Agne looked shocked and embarrassed.

If that were me I’d have wanted the floor to open up and swallow me whole.

Romantic gestures are supposed to be private, intimate matters (unless you’re on Love Island).

If Steve had done that to me on my graduation day, I would definitely have given him the third degree!
