three. Luisana told Argentinian magazine Gente: “Now when I talk to my family I always tell them, ‘Don’t get bogged down with fights or stress. Don’t forget what we’ve got.’ Nothing is that important.

“I’m not saying that nothing bothers me, just that there’s an enormous sign in my head that says ‘family’.

“I understood I shouldn’t put up with something that makes me uncomfortable or suffer or I dislike. I ask: ‘Does this make me happy?’ and if it doesn’t I push it aside.”

Luisana, who was a TV actress in her home country of Argentina, said the couple’s Christian faith had helped them cope with Noah’s struggle, and that strangers often told her that they had prayed for her son.

Michael, 43, said earlier this year that his family always came before his career.

The singer, who cancelled a world tour after Noah’s cancer diagnosis, said: “I don’t even think about my career. It is zero on the scale of things to care about.”

Luisana Lopilato, 32, revealed before Noah’s illness she could let an argument fester for several days – but his cancer fight had now made her put family first.

She said: “When I was younger and got annoyed about something, I could go two or three days without speaking to him or answering the phone. He would go to bed beside me and I’d be like a freezer.

“I’m mellowing with age and now I don’t turn in for the night still in a bad mood.

“We learnt to establish priorities in life and they changed completely.

“I don’t worry now about silly things, about malicious comments or conflicts.”

Michael and Luisana were told their eldest son, now five, had liver cancer in November 2016 by a Los Angeles hospital after medics in Argentina said they thought he had mumps.

He is now in remission and in July last year they expanded their family with the birth of Vida, sister to Noah and second son Elias,
