MISERY We are the world’s fifth-largest econ­omy – so why are home­less chil­dren be­ing sent off to sleep in ship­ping con­tain­ers?

It’s shame­ful that 124,000 kids have nowhere to live and, due to coun­cil fund­ing gaps, fam­i­lies are liv­ing in th­ese cramped metal boxes, which are like ovens when the sun comes out – which it has been do­ing.

One mum had to sleep with the door wide open in sum­mer and her poor baby got heat rash. In win­ter, it was hor­ri­bly cold.

But don’t worry! Boris has sus­pended Par­lia­ment to make new leg­is­la­tion to get our coun­try on track, so I’m sure he’ll make sort­ing this scan­dal his top pri­or­ity.
