Always an Ell Anne-Marie

We all know how things can get out of hand when you meet up with your best mates.

And singer Ella Henderson says she hasn’t been able to work with fellow songstress Anne-Marie because they always get too drunk.

“We are on the same label and she’s a great mate,” she tells me.

“We haven’t actually spoken about working together, but we should.

“Whenever we get together, we just order a bottle of Malibu and get drunk.

dates.” Despite their penchant for the coconut-flavoured liqueur, Ella adds: “I think we could create something great. You’ve put the idea into the universe now, so if it happens, you can get the credit.”

Ella’s latest single, Brave, is out now while her new album, Everything I Didn’t Say, will be released on March 11.

Meanwhile, Anne-Marie has just won the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special and is tipped to sign for next year’s show.

Former X Factor star Ella has also struck up a friendship with TV chef Gordon Ramsay.

She says: “Gordon and I are practicall­y neighbours. He is the loveliest guy ever. “He keeps inviting me to his restaurant, The Lucky Cat, so we’ve been for dinner a few times.” Gordon has also just released his own wine, so they could have some fun together…

He’s up for a Golden Globe award tomorrow night and has been tipped for Oscar glory for his portrayal of Rent musical creator Jonathan Larson in Tick, Tick… Boom! But despite singing on screen for the first time, Andrew Garfield admits that when it came to showcasing his vocal cords at drama school, he “failed miserably”.

He says: “Obviously at drama school I did voice classes, but the singing strand was very minor and I failed miserably. “I was given a song from [1969 film] Sweet Charity – The Rhythm of Life. It was, like, impossible to breathe in and I ended up having a semi panic attack during our exam.

“It was a mess. All of my friends in drama school can attest to this. “And then I kind of shut off that valve. I was, like, ‘OK, that’s not for me’. But, you know, I’m not tone deaf.” Every cloud…
