Vardy TV ambitions a turn-up for the books

Authors Jamie and Rebekah to be the new Richard and Judy?

-

Richard and Judy Jamie and Rebekah Vardy have set their sights on becoming the hot new married TV presenting duo.

– watch out.

Interested in projects that strengthen Brand Vardy, the couple – who this week launched their first children’s book, Cedric The Little Sloth With A Big Dream – joke that they could end up clashing on screen.

When asked if they might emulate the legendary This Morning stars, Rebekah, 40, tells Goss: “It’d be great to do something like that together. We work together pretty much every day as mum and dad anyway. Who knows what’s in the pipeline for the future, but Jamie needs to concentrate on football for the moment and I’m totally supportive of that.” Cheekily, the model and TV personality – who is currently gearing up for a very high-profile court battle against former friend and fellow WAG Coleen Rooney – then asks

Jamie: “Could you cope with me? I don’t know if I could cope with you! We don’t always agree… but 99% of the time we do.”

Leicester star Jamie, 35, laughs: “Ninetynine per cent of the time you think you’re right! That’s the challenge. But I’m not ready to finish football just yet.”

The on-screen spats are always the best bits anyway, right? However, with the infamous Wagatha Christie court case looming, it sounds like these two might be appealing more to fans of Judge Rinder than R&J.

But once the saga finally comes to a head in May, we could be getting an explosive account from Jamie, who’s had to sit tightlipped since the drama began on October 9, 2019. The footballer – who released his autobiography, From Nowhere: My Story, in 2017 – admitted that in light of the last few years, he may be keen to update the book.

He says: “I need to add a few chapters.” I can already imagine Coleen and Wayne anxiously pre-ordering it on Amazon.
