Sweet Syrup
I have always suffered from oily hair. It is the bain of my follicle life. After I wash it, I get approximately 12 hours before it starts getting limp and greasy and the mum bun comes back until I find the energy to wash it again.
So when I was asked to try a brand called Hair Syrup, I was sceptical to say the least.
Syrup is sticky, so surely it is the last thing an oily-haired person wants to put on their head. Right? Wrong. Let me tell you why...
Hair Syrup is a small, UK-based company that sells a range of pre-wash hair oil treatments to deliver you ultimate nourishment, glossing and quenching.
It is an innovative range of products that work wonders on all types of tresses, yes – ALL TYPES – even oily, and they are designed to provide the ultimate at-home pampering experience.
Plus, they are surprisingly affordable, are vegan and crueltyfree and formulated with all-natural ingredients.
An added bonus – at least for me – is the names of the products. Being someone who has spent her life working on a tabloid newspaper, I appreciate a punchy pun when I see one.

I also love the quirky new Hair Syrup G&T, which is described as an extra-regenerating cocktail for the scalp. Make mine a double!

My product recommendations were Lemon-Aid and Grows-Mary which, being the pun queen, I was delighted about, and I’m also delighted with the fact that they are doing excatly what they are meant to do. My hair is fuller, healthier and smells DIVINE.
Who’d have thought, a syrupy oil doing wonders for my oily hair.. sweet!
