As much as I enjoy finding out about new beauty brands and products, trying them out, and then introducing and recommending them to you, sometimes I just enjoy going back to the old reliables.

There is something so comforting about using a brand which you have used your whole life, before there was what seems like a new beauty brand created every day.

When I was a teen, you could mostly counto on one hand the names in each area – be it make-up, skincare, bath & shower, hair and electronic products – and more than likely you have used one or two, if not them all, yourself over the years.

But, inevitably, we have all moved with the times and just as is typical in science, the beauty industry and its components have moved on considerably.

So it is wonderful to see these “old reliables” keeping up and competing with the best – and newest – of them by bringing out products which are representative of the life we are living now, and what we expect from our beauty brands.

Take Max Factor for instance. When I was a teenager, this was the epitome of make-up. Rimmel was good and more affordable, but Max Factor yielded the results and made you feel, and look, like a real woman who has real money to buy real make-up.

Up until a few years ago, I was still using a Max Factor foundation – Smooth Effect – and only stopped because they discontinued it. And its False Lash Effect is constantly renewed in my make-up bad because, in my opinion, it is one of the best mascaras on the market. And believe me, I have tried MANY.

So, Yes Max Factor has stood the test of time for me, and so I was pretty excited when its brand new range landed on my desk.

Inspired by skincare and mastered by Max Factor, the new Miracle Pure collection is the most natural and caring range released by the make-up brand to date.

It is vegan and eco conscious and not only do the products provide a radiant glow and natural coverage but they provide hydration for your skin as they are packed full of beneficial ingredients such as Vitamin C, Hyalauronic Acid and Alfalfa Complex

So the products in the Miracle Pure collection will help you get the perfect base along with that perfect, hydrated glow. It seems Max Factor have not only catered for the vegan and eco-friendly beauty product fans, it is also catering for its long devoted customers who have been using the brand since they were teenagers as that’s exactly what we need – hydration, hydration, hydration!

So what does the range consist of? Well there is the Miracle Pure Skin Improving Foundation (£13.99) which is clinically proven to care for skin while you wear it. In just one minute and with just a drop, it plumps your skin, letting your complexion benefit in five ways – with improved radiance, firmness, elasticity, density and suppleness. The advanced formula is infused with 89% skin-care ingredients including, Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid, and provides 24 hours hydration.

Then the Miracle Pure Concealer (£9.99) is a lightweight formula which contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and peptides. It gives medium, natural coverage and works perfectly on the face and under the eyes, providing crease-less, all-day gentle coverage – illuminating, brightening and giving 24-hydration. Available in eight shades.

The Miracle Pure Cream Blush (£9.99) contains a moisturising complex that plumps and hydrates while adding a buildable glow to your complexion. Infused with hyalauronic acid and squalane, the formula has a lightweight, creamy and silky texture that transforms skin, giving a day-long glow that also leaves the skin looking fresh and healthy. Available in 4 luminous shades.

And lastly, the Miracle Pure Nail Polish (£6.99) promotes healthy looking nails and gives vibrant colour with no compromise durability. The breathable 100% vegan formula is powered by plant-based ingredients, including mineral clay that promotes strength and natural antioxidant Vitamin E. Available in a range of shades, from deep red to calming pastels, Miracle Pure Nail Colour is quick-drying, long-lasting and gives a high shine finish whatever tone you pick.

Max Factor Miracle Pure is available in leading pharmacies nationwide.
