A Hydra-matic effect from Nivea

-

Another brand which I have been using since my teens is Nivea. It has always been a reliable fallback when I need quality, affordable and effective skincare.

It always stuck in my mind how Kate Middleton said in an interview years and years ago that her favourite moisturiser was Nivea Q10.

Likely, since she is now Princess of Wales, she has moved on to products more suited to royalty, but a part of me wonders if she too often retracts back to her old reliable now and then.

And the brand itself has moved on to and is also jumping on the hydration bandwagon with its new Hydra Skin Effect range.

The products, including a Refreshing Day Gel (£10), a Regenerating Night Gel Cream (£10), Boosting Serum (£13), All-in-1 Micellar Water (£7) and a Micellar Wash Gel (£4.99), contain Pure Hyaluronic Acid for an impressive 72 hours of skin-quenching hydration. Yes, please! Nivea tells its loyal customers, “High-quality actives with real results are no longer reserved for the most premium skincare. Formulated with both long and short-chain Pure Hyaluron molecules, the luxurious formula effectively moisturises the skin on the upper and lower dermis, resulting in a richly hydrated complexion with a dewy glow for up to 72 hours.

“What’s more, the cuttingedge formulas boost our own production of hyaluronic acid in the skin, resulting in three times more natural hyaluronic acid to support round-the-clock hydration. “NIVEA’s ultra-refined hyaluronic acid is achieved via an innovative biotechnological process, using fermented yeast proteins to create hyaluronic acid molecules. These molecules are then purified by multiple filtrations, resulting in a pure ingredient, similar to our own natural supply of hyaluronic acid, for optimal skin absorption and increased hydration for up to 72 hours. The range comprises five products to cover every step of your skincare routine, and clinically proven to increase efficacy when using multiple products from the range, building layers of hydration. The NIVEA Hydra Skin Effect range is the fail-safe route to a perfectly plump and refreshed complexion.”

Out of the way Kate...!
