You’re knickered

Cop investigated after buying panties from fetish website... and getting them posted to his POLICE STATION

- BY PHIL CARDY

A SENIOR police officer ordered a pair of dirty knickers from a fetish website and had them delivered to his nick.

Married Detective Sergeant Mark Burns is accused of contacting a girl online and paying £20 for her size 6 thong.

She says he then asked her to send them to his police station so his wife would not find out – and admitted he’d had panties posted there before.

Det Sgt Burns is understood to have worked on sensitive cases in the Lancashire area, including a sexual assault in a hotel and a historic sex abuse investigation.

The 20-year-old woman, who used the name “polliespanties” on the niche site, said: “I couldn’t believe it when he sent me a message saying he was a policeman – and it was even worse when he asked to send it to the station. It’s not what the police should be doing, is it?” During their online exchange, she claims he asked her to send him pants that she had worn for two days – and if she would make a video for him.

She said: “I only did it because I lost my job and wanted to earn a bit of extra money. I took a couple of pictures of my bum in who wants to sabotage Michelle and Steve’s big day and punish Carla Connor (Alison King, 42) – who lives in the apartment block – for foiling her landlady dream.

It was the first major stunt at the new studios – and the blaze was so lifelike, people reported a real fire.

A Corrie source said: “Viewers are in for a real emotional rollercoaster.“

She said: “I saw that some girls were selling knickers for £25 a pair. You can pick up a pack of 12 from Primark for £ 1.50, so I thought it was easy money.” She said she received a message from the officer this week complimenting her bottom.

She sent him some photos and he then asked for “hot pink thongs” that had been worn for 48 hours – and provided her with the address of a police station in Preston.

She claims he told her: “I’m married and don’t want my wife to open them up. I ask for them to be posted to where I work.

“The big thing is I work in a police station. Is that OK with you? I’ve had pairs of pants delivered here before.”

He also asked if she had any red or animal-print thongs.

She said: “I was pretty shocked when he sent me the address of a police station. He was very forward about it. He really wanted my pink dirty knickers – I never imagined a man in a position of trust would be such a pervert.

“It’s quite worrying when he’s working around victims of crime.”

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “This matter has been referred to our Professional Standards Department who are undertaking an investigation. The officer has been placed on alternative duties while this investigation is carried out.”
