Is she about to confess?

-

Brace yourself – secrets don’t stay buried for ever in Weatherfield. Judging by these exclusive pictures taken earlier this week on the set of Coronation Street, Sarah Platt could finally be ready to talk to coppers about her part in Callum Logan’s death.

As Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) drives her to the police station, all seems to start well. Todd is all smiles and even Sarah (Tina O’Brien) appears to be laughing. Anyone would think they’re about to break into a spot of Carpool Karaoke.

Then guilt-ridden Sarah appears to have a reality check. It’s a smorgasbord of emotion and the tears come flooding out as Todd tries to talk her out of confessing.

She is seen staying put in the van – but will she change her mind and finally reveal her dark secret?

Since helping sister-in-law Kylie Platt to hide Callum’s body under the Platts’ house, the burden of keeping his death quiet has left Sarah more and more tormented. Maybe it’s time to offload.

Viewers won’t learn whether she actually does go to the police for a few weeks, but meanwhile the storyline takes yet another twist when Billy Mayhew’s heroin-addict brother Lee approaches Sarah and tells her Callum is actually still alive.

He then calls Billy and pretends he’s holding her hostage and will return her for £ 1,000. And Sarah is so paranoid that Callum might not be dead she tries to make a run for it, but Lee grapples her to the ground.

As they wrestle, Sarah loses it, and not even brother David can stop her from having a complete breakdown.

She barricades herself in her house with baby Harry – and the Platts call for emergency help.
