NELSON’S RETREAT
NELSON OLIVEIRA is back in the Norwich squad to face Sunderland after apologising for his shirty behaviour at Fulham.
The striker, fed up at only being a sub, angrily showed the name on his shirt to Canaries head coach Daniel Farke after scoring a late leveller. The Portugal international was then stuck on the naughty step for the midweek cup win against Swindon as punishment.
But after an abject apology to Farke and his team-mates, Oliveira has been recalled for today’s clash. Farke said: “I wasn’t happy with his behaviour at all so I decided not to play him against Swindon.
“He has to learn the club is bigger than one player. I don’t believe the club should kiss the feet of a player and say, ‘Thank God you are here.’ I think it’s an honour to be at such an amazing club.”
