Marella Cruises’s new ship Explorer 2 will homeport in Barbados for her debut winter 2019 season, sailing to destinations such as St Lucia, Aruba and the Grenadines.
She’s the first adults-only offering in the Marella fleet with on-board features including new golf clubhouse bar the 19th Hole with buggy seating and two simulators; Flutes, a swanky bubbles bar for fizz fans, and the barbecue inspired Beach Cove. Like her sister Explorer, she will also have a luxurious Champneys spa.
Other highlights from Marella’s winter 2019 programme – on sale from November 8 – include new ports of call such as Panama’s Gatun Lake and Port Royal in Jamaica, once dubbed the “wickedest city on earth” in pirate days.
There will also be a return to Alexandria, Egypt, and Casablanca, Morocco.
