Marella Cruises’s new ship Ex­plorer 2 will home­port in Bar­ba­dos for her de­but win­ter 2019 sea­son, sail­ing to des­ti­na­tions such as St Lu­cia, Aruba and the Gre­nadines.

She’s the first adults-only of­fer­ing in the Marella fleet with on-board fea­tures in­clud­ing new golf club­house bar the 19th Hole with buggy seat­ing and two sim­u­la­tors; Flutes, a swanky bub­bles bar for fizz fans, and the bar­be­cue in­spired Beach Cove. Like her sis­ter Ex­plorer, she will also have a lux­u­ri­ous Champ­neys spa.

Other high­lights from Marella’s win­ter 2019 pro­gramme – on sale from Novem­ber 8 – in­clude new ports of call such as Panama’s Gatun Lake and Port Royal in Ja­maica, once dubbed the “wickedest city on earth” in pi­rate days.

There will also be a re­turn to Alexan­dria, Egypt, and Casablanca, Morocco.
