China goes over to the dark side

CHINA’S Long March 3B rocket blasts off towards the “dark side of the Moon”.

The Chang’e-4 mission will put a lander and a rover in the Von Kármán crater.

That side of the Moon never faces Earth – although it is illuminated by the Sun.

The robotic lunar craft will collect rock and soil samples, and deliver them to scientists.
