Four-in-bed burglar gang hid with loot
FOUR teenage burglars pretended to be asleep together in two beds with a haul of stolen jewellery when police raided a house, a court heard.
The four, who were all undressed, tried to convince officers they did not even know each other.
Cops had gone to the house in Leighton Buzzard, Beds, after reports of a group of people acting suspiciously.
Three of the burglars, all aged 19, were jailed for a total of seven years and two months at Luton Crown Court.
Investigating officer Det Const Andrew Boston said: “It was one of the more unusual cover stories.”
