Cooker blast plot remand
POLICE foiled an alleged bomb plot involving more than 8,000 matches and a pressure cooker.
Over 100 of f icers swooped on an address in Newcastle upon Tyne to arrest Fatah Abdullah, who appeared before Westminster magistrates yesterday.
The 33- year- old is alleged to have bought a knife, balaclava and chemicals, fuses and matches.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey next month.
