Ant back to work with Dec Duo together to produce quiz show
ANT McPartlin has gone back to work with TV partner Declan Donnelly for the first time since his drink-drive shame.
The pair arrived at Elstree Studios to see the recording of a show for which they are executive producers – marking a significant step in Ant’s recovery.
Just days after their studio visit, he was seen out sales shopping with his new partner Anne- Marie Corbett, smiling and looking healthier than ever.
A source said: “Getting back to work has been brilliant for him, and seeing Dec was a real boost. He’s ready to move into 2019 now and put the past behind him.”
Ant, 42, and Dec, 43, were together on December 21, watching the filming of ITV show Replay 2018, which aired on Friday.
Our source said: “Ant and Dec’s production company makes the show so they went for a night out to watch it being filmed. Ant was in high spirits and seemed to love being back in a working environment.
“It was great to see them back together again. They haven’t lost their sparkle.”
Replay 2018 saw Pointless co-host Richard Osman joined by reality star Scarlett Moffatt for an end-of-year quiz with guest appearances.
Before the show, Ant tweeted from the account he shares with Dec: “***exciting show alert*** Tonight ITV 9pm Re-Play 2018 with Richard Osman. Play along and see if you’ve been paying attention to 2018. Enjoy! A.”
It’s his first tweet in a month and followers flocked to tell him they were looking forward to seeing him.
One fan said: “Can’t wait to see you back on my TV screen Ant! It’s not the same without you!!”
The star has been keeping a low profile during an extended break after crashing his car during a drink- drive incident last March, which resulted in him being fined £86,000. In October he was divorced from make-up artist Lisa Armstrong after 11 years of marriage.
Ant is expected to start filming on Britain’s Got Talent early next year.
