Colts in Luck for last trip

- BY KEith WEBStEr

ANDREW LUCK is the sort of player you want on your side in a winner-takes-all shootout.

Luck takes his Indianapolis Colts to Tennessee tonight (Sky Sports Main Event, 1.10am), with both knowing a win means the play-offs but defeat ends the season.

So the fact that Luck has beaten the Titans all 10 times he has faced them has Colts fans dreaming that it is going to be their night as the regular season comes to a close.

And after they started the campaign by losing five of their first six games, that would be a remarkable achievement.

They have won eight of their last nine and are playing as well as any team at the right time of the season.

Quarterback Luck said: “The beauty of it is that whatever happened earlier, you keep working, you keep improving, you keep getting better.

“A lot of guys have taken that approach and it is starting to show up on the field more consistently.”

Luck has spent the week trying to play down his perfect 10-0 record against Titans in order to focus his teammates on the one game that will count.

He said: “It doesn’t matter. We talk about going 1-0 this week. The cycle starts over.

“What happened in previous years does not matter. What happened last weekend does not matter. It’s a new cycle every week.”
