CHERRIES ED ACHE! Howe hits back over crocked Dom

EDDIE HOWE admitted £19million new signing Dominic Solanke will be out until February as his Bournemout­h side limped out of the FA Cup.

Howe paid the price for making NINE NE changes as goals from Anthony Knockaert, Florin Andone and a cracker from Yves s Bissouma sent the he Cherries crashing.

S o l anke ( above) completed a move from Liverpool to Bournemout­h on the eve of the game after a loan switch to Crystal Palace fell through over fitness concerns.

But Howe said: “He has got a hamstring injury, so he will probably miss most of January and we are probably looking at February until he is ready to play.

“We have done all the relevant tests and a thorough medical. It is a minor hamstring problem.”

Howe also defended the money lavished on Solanke, who started just five Premier League games in 18 months at Anfield.

The Cherries chief said: “He is one of the most talented young strikers in Engl England and there is al always a premium f for that.”

The game t turned on a g glaring miss from B Bournemout­h strike striker Lys Mousset 17 minutes before half-time.

Jordon Ibe danced his way into the penalty area and his effort was blocked into the path of Mousset but the Frenchman blazed over from eight yards.

Three minutes later countryman Knockaert fired Brighton in front. Jurgen Locadia raced in behind the Bournemout­h defence before pulling the ball back for Knockaert to score past Artur Boruc.

Bissouma doubled the Seagulls lead after 34 minutes, racing towards the penalty area and firing home off the inside of the post from 25 yards.

Marc Pugh handed the Cherries a lifeline 11 minutes after the re-start, curling in after being teed up by Andrew Surman.

Brighton’s two- goal advantage was restored in the 64th minute when Andone headed in from close range.

Brighton manager Chris Hughton said: “It was a difficult game as we all knew it would be, so I’m really delighted to go through.”
