Hatton KO’s 9-year split with parents

BOXING hero Ricky Hatton has been reconciled with his anguished parents after a bitter nine-year rift.

He celebrated with his parents at his son Campbell’s 18th birthday party, a year after vowing never to speak to them again.

His dad Ray, of Hyde, Greater Manchester, said after Friday’s bash: “We’ve made up. Everything’s fine, we’re all friends again.”

Ricky’s mum Carol, 63, was “heartbroken” over the rift which started as a row over money and Ricky’s drug and booze addiction.

But last year she held out an olive branch to ex- world welterweight champ Ricky, 40, saying: "Richard knows I love him.”

Two years ago Hatton split from his fiancee Jennifer Dooley, mother of his two daughters.
