Suspect held over body in flooded flat

A MAN has been arrested over the death of a Lithuanian man whose body was found when his flat flooded.

Police believe Juozas Meilunas, 51, died of a head injury and his body had been in the flat for up to three months.

Officers yesterday said they were questioning a 28-year-old man over the suspected murder.

Mr Meilunas, who had been working for several employment agencies in Kettering, Northants, was found on Boxing Day.

Det Ch Insp Joe Banfield said: “His body showed signs of decomposition and he was identified via his post-mortem.”
