Kidnap teen is reunited with family
THE 13- year- old girl allegedly kidnapped by a man who murdered her parents was reunited with her aunt yesterday.
Jayme Closs was given the all-clear by a hospital after fleeing her kidnapper’s isolated home.
She had been found on Thursday by a dog walker.
Officers then arrested suspect Jake Patterson in his car, and charged him with the gun murders of James and Denise Closs at the family home in Barron, Wisconsin, in October.
Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said: “There is a reunification process going on. It’s amazing – the will of that 13-year-old girl to survive.”
Police added they did not know how Patterson, from the village of Gordon, knew the Closs family who lived 70 miles away.
