A nasty case of Skypochondria

How would you feel about Skyping your doctor to chat about your itchy bits?

University Hospital of North Staffs is set to be the first in Europe to start Skype video consultations to try to save time, money and car park spaces. There’s been a ton of angry feedback.

A lot of older people can hardly charge up a Nokia, let alone work Skype.

But I welcome it. If the NHS can’t get the cash it needs, it is going to have to embrace technology.

I’d rather see a doctor in my own home than die of boredom in a waiting room.
