Mum needs op on cracked wrist
THE mum who broke her wrist in a car crash with Prince Philip is to undergo surgery this week after attempts to set it naturally failed.
Emma Fairweather – who now needs a titanium plate to repair the fracture which has left her in agony – described it as a “huge setback”.
She faces an eight- week recovery period after the operation and is likely to be wearing a cast until April.
Emma, 46, received a letter of apology wheel in Windsor. The Range Rover is on sale for £120,000 because of its royal status. A new version costs £114,000.
Some signs of its regal heritage remain – a fold-down step used by Her Majesty to from the Duke of Edinburgh last week over the accident outside the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where his Land Rover hit her pal’s car.
But now she wants him to know just how much misery it is causing her.
“This has completely knocked me,” said the single mum-of-two. “It feels the last three weeks of pain and recovery have been pointless as I now have to climb in and out, and a privacy blind. But grab handles inside have been removed.
