NEMANJA MATIC has revealed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sacrificing instant success to build his own Class of 92 – and create a title-winning dynasty for the future.

But Chelsea’s two- time former Premier League champion admits Manchester United are years away from recreating the success of Old Trafford’s favourite sons.

And until stars such as Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Daniel James and Aaron WanBissaka mature, United fans will have to hold on to Solskjaer’s vision and be patient.

Under Sir Alex Ferguson, the famous five of David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers Gary and Phil, along with Ryan Giggs, were brought into a team of established hardcore seniors.

Solskjaer’s present-day squad lacks leaders. And Matic (above) knows that, although United have an exciting crop of youngsters, there’s no substitute for experience. “First of all, you should have quality. Obviously, in this squad we have quality, and no experience,” said the Serbian.

“Game by game these guys are improving, they take more responsibility on the pitch, off the pitch and quality and experience eventually brings you to the title.

“That we have five or six top, top players but they are still young – players like Rashford, Martial and Greenwood.

“In the future, we can expect them to lead the team. Until then, they have the quality, they have shown that on the pitch, but they are too young to lead the team.

Once Bale has left, it will free up the Welshman’s £600,000-a-week wages and give the Spaniards the muscle to fund Pogba’s own financial package.
United insist they have no interest in selling him, with the start of the new season so close.
That won’t stop Real going all out to land the midfielder before the transfer window closes on August 8 – even if they have to find £150m to tempt United to sell the Frenchman.
United officials know, as soon as Bale leaves Madrid, their pursuit of Pogba will intensify.
Although Bale’s deal is close, the negotiations are still ongoing with lawyers working on the details of the contract and complex image-rights issues.
The Chinese transfer window closes on Wednesday and Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett is believed to be confident that a deal will be concluded in time. HARRY MAGUIRE is keen to hit the ground running at Manchester United.
The Leicester defender has put in a full pre-season of conditioning work and played his latest friendly match at Stoke yesterday.
It is a move that could be deemed reckless, with a £78million move to Old Trafford pending.
But Maguire insisted he played so he can be fit and firing when his transfer to United is concluded.
United have so far offered £72million, with performance-related bonuses taking the figure more than £75m.
Leicester continue to hold out for £80m, but it is thought that some sort of compromise may be reached this week.
