Revenge is so ice cold for Gemma

Fiery judge’s departure is karma, she says

- By OLIVIA BUXTON

GEMMA Collins has described Jason Gardiner’s departure from Dancing On Ice as “karma” for his scathing attacks on her.

The TOWIE star, 38, lashed out at Jason on-air during this year’s show after he accused her of being “lazy” and said she lacked “elegance”.

Jason, 47, who was accused of bullying, later described Gemma as a “refrigerator” on ITV’s This Morning.

He will be replaced by Doctor Who star John Barrowman in next year’s series after he announced it was “time to say goodbye” to the show last month.

Gemma said of his departure: “I’m glad.

There’s having a laugh and there’s taking it too far.

“Karma is a beautiful thing, and John Barrowman is now filling his boots. So see you later, honey! Next! Boring. There’s criticism, and there’s calling someone a fridge. He was referring to my body size.”

Those set to take part in the next series of the show – which starts in January – include Love Island’s Maura Higgins, comedian Michael Barrymore, footballer Kevin Kilbane and Ian “H” Watkins from Steps.

But Gemma, who left this year’s contest in Week Six, revealed she will be back – for the Christmas special.

And she admitted she begged bosses to make her a judge.

Speaking at the launch of controversial weight- loss injection Skinny Jab, Gemma said: “Me and John Barrowman get on famously so you never know, they might have a mad moment.” scoops@sundaymirror.co.uk
