Plane cracks spark probe into 737 NGs

-

A PROBE into Boeing 737 NG jets has been ordered after cracks were discovered on some planes.

Boeing found cracks in pickle forks, which connect a plane’s wing structure to its fuselage, while modifying heavily-used aircraft.

Ryanair and Aeroflot are among the operators that use the 737 NG.

The Federal Aviation Administration said it would “instruct operators to conduct specific inspections, make any necessary repairs and to report their findings to the agency.”

Boeing grounded all its 737 Max aircraft in March after Ethiopian Airlines and Lion Air crashes killed 346 people.
