Royal dungaree glee
Harry and Meghan’s tour in Africa with baby Archie could not have been timed better. It’s really brightened up my days – and don’t we all need some light relief in these crazy times?
The royal couple are looking happy, relaxed and approachable.
I know they are doing important work, walking through minefields and highlighting mental health issues, so does that make me a bad person to be obsessing over Meghan’s wardrobe? No posh frocks and mad hats.
She’s been going for simple, classy outfits that let her crouch, kneel and cross her legs – to get down on the floor to play with the kids and meet fellow mums. My highlight was four-month-old Archie being introduced to Archbishop Tutu in Cape Town.
Archie is the spit of his daddy but he’s got Meghan’s eyes. And style – I loved his blue stripy £12.99 H&M dungarees. Why spend a fortune on clothes he’ll only be sick over and that won’t fit him after three months or so?
And, after the Ibiza private jet embarrassment, I know they’ll be offsetting their carbon footprint.
They almost offset my Brexit misery this week.
