Test catches early tumour

Scientists have developed a simple urine test to diagnose pancreatic cancer.

And it could boost survival rates — currently just five per cent after five years – because it finds tumours while still small.

The test, developed at Queen Mary University of London, is due to be trialled soon on more than 3,000 patients in a fouryear study costing £1.6million.
