Hats off to Cillian for his cancer help
CILLIAN Murphy donated a flat cap from Peaky Blinders to raise cash for a mum with a brain tumour.
Katie Smith, 33, asked celebrities for hats to support the Brain Tumour Research charity.
And she said she was “f labbergasted” when Murphy, 43, sent her a cap he wore playing Thomas Shelby on the BBC show.
Other hats were given by retired track cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, comic Dawn French, and bands Bastille, Coldplay and The Vamps.
Mum- of- one Katie, of Stourbridge, West Mids, was told in 2015 that she might not reach 40.
She said: “We started writing letters and using any contacts we had.”
The stars’ hats will be auctioned at Aston Villa’s ground in December.
