-

A TRAVEL-BLOGGING couple who were accused of spying in Iran have told of their relief after being released from jail.

Brit Jolie King and Aussie Mark Firkin were held in July, accused of flying a drone near military sites without a permit. They said they were “extremely happy” charges were dropped, adding: “While the past few months have been difficult, we know it has also been tough for those back home worried for us.”

The couple, now back home in Perth, Australia, were held in Tehran’s Evin jail – where British-Iranian mum Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, 41, has been in custody accused of spying since 2016.
