Blind Medina in nut peril at Burger King

-

BURGER King has apologised to a blind woman with a food allergy after she was told staff were not allowed to read out a list of ingredients to her.

Medina Hall had gone to her local branch in Folkestone, Kent, and told staff about her nut allergy which could trigger severe asthma attacks.

She said she was told staff could give her a menu but customers had to read it themselves.

Medina said: “I was shocked. I could have ended up in hospital.”

Burger King apologised and said: “There is no policy to refrain staff from reading out allergen information.”
