Where can I leaf all my lawn rakings?

-

It might sound like a silly question, but what can I do with all the leaves gathering on the lawn? David, London

Now’s the time to keep raking up any leaves so they don’t smother the lawn and block out sunlight.

You can use the rakings to make your own leaf mould. Just pop the leaves into a hessian bag, leave it behind the garden shed over winter, and dress your soil with fresh organic matter come spring.
