ENGLISH RAIDERS READY TO SHINE

-

JOSH HODGSON will spearhead an English revolution in today’s NRL Grand Final in Sydney.

And nobody will be celebrating harder than the hooker and Canberra team-mates John Bateman, Elliott Whitehead and Ryan Sutton if they beat Sydney Roosters.

The four former Super League stars have played a huge part in clinching the Raiders’ first Grand Final appearance for 25 years.

Hodgson (above) said: “We have been written off and people were predicting we’d finish outside the top eight.

“Then when we were doing well, they said we’d fall off and then said we’d get rolled in the semis.”

Sutton, who joined Raiders from Wigan with Bateman at the end of last year, has been left out of the 17-man squad.
