David is a goliath says Ake

NATHAN AKE has paid a glowing tribute to David Luiz ahead of today’s clash.

While Brazilian centre-half Luiz divides opinion, Bournemouth star Ake’s view of the Gunners’ summer signing is only positive.

The Dutchman, 24, (below) was at Chelsea during Luiz’s two spells there, and has good memories of their Stamford Bridge days.

He said: “We played a few times together. He always used to help me and talk with me.

“He spoke with all the younger players and was always trying to help people. He is a happy, open guy – and a very good player.”

Even so, the Cherries will be hoping Luiz has one of his wayward afternoons as they look to improve upon their record of six defeats in eigeight Premier LLeague games against the Gunners.
