FIRST EDE Hazard opens his account for Real

-

EDEN HAZARD finally broke his duck for Real Madrid – and left Zinedine Zidane demanding more of his star signing.

The Belgian playmaker’s first goal in Real colours since his £ 89million move from Chelsea extended his new club’s unbeaten start to the La Liga season to eight games yesterday.

Real boss Zidane said: “We need to see more of Hazard playing like this. He was very happy. We hope this was the first of many goals for him. I want more.”

Real got off to the perfect start as Karim Benzema (right) put them ahead with just two minutes gone.

Gareth Bale’s fine cross from the right picked out the Frenchman at the back post and Benzema fired home first time from close range.

And they were cruising when Hazard struck before the break. Federico Valverde poked the ball through to the Belgian and he took one touch to control the ball before lifting it into the net.

Madrid made it

3-0 in the 60th minute when Hazard burst down the left and cut back inside onto his right foot before rolling the ball across to substitute Luka Modric, who rifled in from 25 yards.

Early- season surprise package Granada were given a lifeline with 21 minutes remaining when Carlos Fernandez was hauled down and Darwin Machis converted the resulting penalty.

Domingos Duarte then slid in at the back post to score from close range following Alvaro Vadillo’s corner to make Real sweat.

But Jame s Rodriguez eased any nerves when he wrapped it up in stoppage time with his first Real goal for more than two years. Zidane added: “We controlled the game from the first minute until the end. Yes there comes a time where the opposition can do something to you. But it is a deserved win. We must highlight the effort of all the players.”
