But A-listers at tonight’s Golden Globes – where Brits including Helena Bonham Carter, Taron Egerton and Emily Watson are up for 27 gongs – have failed to see their host’s funny side.

They’ve even asked to be moved out of front row seats to escape his blistering attacks.

An insider told how “at least four household names” rearranged the allocated seating.

Ricky, 58, has upset a load of big stars during previous ceremonies, including Ben Affleck, Ashton Kutcher, Elton John and Charlie Sheen.

At the 2016 awards, he was slammed for being transphobic after cracking a joke about transgender reality star Caitlyn Jenner.

A source at the event, to be broadcast live by NBC from LA’s Beverly Hilton Hotel, reveals: “Normally big stars clamour for the best seats. But at least four household names have switched from front row

seats. The feeling is although he writes his monologue in advance, anyone in his line of vision might fall victim to a withering put-down.”

But Ricky, hosting for the fifth time, insists he’ll play nicely this year. He also says he regrets mocking Tim Allen when the Home Improvem ent actor presented with Tom Hanks in 2011. Back then, he quipped: “The first is an actor, producer, writer and director, whose movies grossed $3.5bn at the box office. He’s won two Academy Awards and three Golden Globes for his powerful, varied performances… the other is Tim Allen.”

But in another interview he snarled: “I don’t care who hates me. I don’t care about anyone in the room.” Go Ricky. Bring it on.

wife reckons he’d drop dead if he retired. The Welsh star, 82, up for Best Supporting Actor for The Two Popes, says: “She worries if I stopped, I’d snuff it. It’s important to keep working body and mind. I am in great health. I don’t drink but love all the bad foods – spicy foods.” With fava beans?

Jodie Comer is planning to finally leave her home town of Liverpool as she house hunts in London and New York.

The star, who still lives with her parents, has been nominated for Best TV Actress for her killer performance as assassin Villanelle.

Last year, the 26-year-old revealed she was “floating around” before she put down roots. But a source tells me:

is poised to be the Queen of Hollywood tonight after being tipped to pick up TWO gongs at the Golden Globes.

The 34-year-old won three at the Emmy Awards in September.

But she is still in shock at the success of Fleabag. She says: “It started as something so personal and exploded into this thing.”

Helen Mirren, 74, wants a new tattoo. The Dame, up for a gong for Catherine The Great, already has a hand tat but says they’re “addictive”.

“Jodie is looking to move away from home as a more practical move. She adores life with her family but her world is changing fast and being closer to studios makes more sense.

“The talk is she will live in London but manage that with an apartment in New York too, allowing her time to find a natural home.”

Jodie is up against Olivia Colman in the TV drama category. Best of luck, ladies.

For the first time ever, the Golden Globes menu is 100 per cent vegan. But dishes like oyster scallops, with mushrooms and carrots, have been sneered at by older steak-loving stars.
