Hopeful Rebecca Long Bailey stressed a commitment to “democratic and institutio­nal” reform. Other candidates include Lisa Nandy, 24 nomination­s, and Clive Lewis and Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry, each with 10.

She lay there more than an hour before she was given a bed. And it took five hours before she was eventually treated by an overstretc­hed doctor.

Lacey’s mum Carla, 33, said: “There were babies lying in the corridors and this is just the tip of the iceberg. I don’t think Boris Johnson has a clue.”

Lacey was rushed to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on December 21. The hospital apologised, saying it had been an “exceptiona­lly busy” day.
